Pen Motor not working?

edited September 2016 in AxiDraw
I have installed the Axidraw, however when I go to raise the pen up and down, the motor that controls the action does not work.

I have tried a number of variables 70/30 80/20 etc. with no luck.

Any advice on how to fix, as when i draw, the pen doesn't lift and all lines are visible.

Regards,

  • Does the servo motor (small blue pen lift motor) move up and down when you send the toggle up / down commands from the AxiDraw extension?

Is the black/red/white cable plugged securely into the controller board?

When the white servo horn is in the lower position, does the vertical slide fall freely under its own weight when you lift it to the top?
  • Check the connection to the EBB board. Usually during shipping the connections may disconnect.

Look in page 39 of the AxiDraw User Guide
