I'm glad to hear that it's mostly working.
There is an old feature request for that, still open here:

Dipping before every path is a little "iffy" as a general technique, because individual paths may …
Hi Raph,
The behavior that you describe is consistent with the power supply not being plugged into the AxiDraw. (And plugging in the power supply wasn't among the things that you listed.) Please double check that your power supply is (1) plugged in…
So far as I know, InkDraw is a specific program for HSAJET printers, and probably cannot be made to work with AxiDraw.
AxiDraw is not a wifi-connected machine; it's driven through USB, and requires that you do have a computer connected to it.
Hi Toni,
The two machines do have a lot in common, and we have even discussed making a special "watercolor" edition of the AxiDraw that would include the paint pans and water dishes.
There are several potential issues with using the WaterColorBot …
The error essentially says that the document needs to have physical units -- typically inch or cm units. EggBot Documents, formatted in pixel dimensions, are a good example of a document that does not have physical units.
Try creating a new docume…
What I had intended to suggest is that you open an EggBot File, and try to plot it with the EggBot software with its engraver control enabled, but while connected to the AxiDraw (and, critically, with the AxiDraw at the middle of travel in both X an…
It's possible that there's a hardware issue on the EggBot's EBB driver board that is preventing the correct output signal from getting where it needs to. A thing that you could try as a test -- quite non-traditional but possibly effective -- would b…
First up, double chec that the option is enabled. Then, start a lengthy plot with the engravr plugged in. (You may wish to fully remove the pen arm before doing this, so that it’s not swinging around.) While the plot is still going, try adjusting th…
This forum is for EggBot support, not for copies based (for example) on Arduino. That’s not our hardware, and not our firmware. Our software isn’t designed for that hardware or firmware, and may or may not work with it.
So far as I know, no actual Arduino ever used the CH340 -- just some cheap knockoffs. In any case, this support forum is for EggBot, so I'm closing this topic.
We are still not recommending 0.92 for various reasons. (We'd still generally advise to stick with 0.91 for the moment.)
We have heard of this particular error three times in recent memory, and on Windows only. It appears to be due to a conflict on…
You haven't said which version of the AxiDraw software you're using. I'd suggest upgrading to the latest beta version (currently 1.6.2), which handles a few rare errors of this nature -- it's that same "catching" behavior that is generating the erro…
That is not "no documentation" -- it's a very clear description of how to operate the color modes:
To advance between the 24 color modes, you press the color button.
To advance between the four brightness/flickering modes, instead of pressing, ho…
Did your kit come with assembly instructions? (You managed to assemble it, which suggests that it did.) Those instructions are part of the documentation.
Perhaps you should READ the documentation that EXISTS in order to determine this, rather than saying that there is no documentation.
The MM9k is an open source project, where the assembly and use instructions, circuit board design, and software are…
If you want to build something like that from scratch, your two basic choices are to pick an LED that has a built-in color-fading circuit, or to use an external device (microcontroller, etc) to control an LED.
If using the former method -- an LED w…
On the failure to connect, try manually running the EBB "UBW" USB driver. It's available here: https://github.com/evil-mad/EggBot/releases/download/2.7.1/UBWDriverInstaller_v20.exe
Well, that's annoying. We've had our software whitelisted by Symantec in the past, but it seems that WS.Reputation.1 has its own ideas.
I have submitted it to Symantec for whitelisting, but it may take a few days for the whitelisting and for that d…
No, there isn't an official Arduino firmware for EggBot. You might see if the authors of that software have (for example) a github issues page that you can ask for help on.
Alternately, if this is the standard extension (just with Arduino firmware …
Really couldn't say. The EggBot software doesn't support RAMPS, so you're probably not using the EggBot extension per se, but something else altogether.
Great. If you're using our board and software, you'll want to open up the "eggbot_conf.py" file in your Inkscape Extensions folder-- it contains a setting in there "STEP_SCALE" that you can alter for this configuration (400 steps/revolution -- 6400 …
That is definitely not a calibration procedure that should be expected to work. We would recommend that you follow the procedure from the user guide instead -- start with the pen up, and make sure that it has enough vertical range to touch the paper…
Yes, they'll likely work, depending on what driver hardware you're using. If you're using two different motors, pick the stronger one for the pen motor.
