A 'shocking' development

edited December 2013 in LED Matrix Kits
As it's getting cold outside, the heat is on and of course that means its ESD season here.  As a result, nearly every time I touch the Peggy 2 it and I exchange a good zap and it is often resulting in spurious signals being generated.  Any suggestions on how to best deal with this?  I was thinking that running a 1M or 10M resistor from ground to an earth ground (and making sure I touch it first) might be a solution.

  • Yikes!  And, that sounds like a fine solution.

I've lived in places where I ritualistically touched (grounded) door frames when I walked by, to keep from developing an ESD-dangerous charge.
