Inkscape and Xquartz not working

Hi! I'm having trouble completing the Inkscape and Xquartz installations. I have a Mac 10.10.4 OSX. First I open XQuartz then when I try to open Inkscape I get the error message: CoreServicesUIAgent quit unexpectedly. Does anyone else experience this?

    Please try downloading a fresh copy of XQuartz ( https://www.xquartz.org ) and run the installer. Restart your computer after installing, and run any available OS updates before trying to open XQuartz.

    To open XQuartz (not Inkscape) for the first time, do so from the Applications folder: Right click (or control-click) on the icon and select Open from the pop-up menu there.
